A powerful moment of self-authorship arrives this month as you decide just what you will commit to in the long term. You find your purpose and your direction in your core values. And it is these above all else, which will determine the direction you take from here.

The Leo full Moon (1^st) highlights these. It throws the writing on your personal stone tablets into sharp relief. Your sensitivity and desire to keep everyone happy sometimes means you compromise too much, Cancer. Your ruler trines Ceres in your 10^th. This is about reciprocity as well as a win/win. Compromise can’t simply be one-sided. Both parties have to meet in the middle. The full Moon asks you establish that emotional bulwark which clearly shows others – the buck stops here. Especially if you have a track record around giving too much.

Ahead of what is set to be a total game-changing month for you, the full Moon shines on your self-worth and brings you to a point of certainty when it comes to what you will or won’t sell out over. If worries around not being loved, accepted or even someone saying ‘No’ to you because of this and ending up with nothing at all, have prevented you from drawing a line, you’ll understand that this isn’t compromise at all. This is selling your self-worth. Real love never asks you to make that kind of deal.

This may see you quietly yet confidently release an old dynamic ahead of Saturn’s arrival in your 10^th (14^th). It could be a pattern of simply accepting less around how you are paid or rewarded in your career. Or simply revolve around your expectations as to how you are treated. It’s been 28 years since Saturn (also your love planet!), last visited Aries. So, for many of you, this will be your first ‘Put a ring on it’ experience of Saturn in this sector of your charts.

None of you however, have ever experienced Neptune in here. And certainly not together at the same time. The meeting of Saturn and Neptune at the key point of inception (0^o Aries), on Feb 20 is a point when one era ends and a new one comes into reality. For you this will be around status, ambition, all you hold dear and even touch on issues such as what ‘homeland’ and long term security means for you.

Saturn asks you to get serious. And very, very real. To know who is boss when it comes to owning your path and your expectations. Saturn rules authority – which contains the word ‘author’. Just who is in charge of writing this upcoming narrative? You are. Neptune brings the vision and unleashes your imagination. We can say a whole new world structure is ready to be created. But first, something about your old one may have to be dismantled or give way for it to happen.

Expect an awakening and a radical reclamation around what you imagined ‘success’ looked like. You’ll feel compelled to act on this truth. Especially if this has been a feeling that has been slowly creeping up on you. That desire to initiate something more soul sustaining and lasting. Any kind of career move, achievement or goal has to contain this emotional element for you now. Or it will simply feel like an empty victory even if you succeed. You’ll called to something more meaningful, Cancer. What’s more you’ll commit to doing whatever it takes to make it work. Go the distance down a higher, truer path.

February’s other major lunation for you is the new Moon in Aquarius and an Annular Solar Eclipse in your 8^th of empowered change on the 17^th. This also marks the start of the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse. This eclipse squares Uranus in your 11^th. Indicating a powerful, sudden and accelerated transformation around finances, trust, intimate ties, and changes around emotional or energetic bonds you may not see coming. As with all eclipses, you are one of the signs most profoundly affected as no matter if they are solar or lunar eclipses, your ruler is always involved.

You are strongly advised to slow down, stop and suspend judgement around what occurs two to three days either side of this eclipse. You are in the process of taking control of the direction your life flows in now. Some of this process may show you the things that are beyond that. This is so you direct your resources into what you can exert your influence over. Rather than wasting it on what you can’t.

Freedom to determine your future is the ultimate goal here. Mercury arrives in Pisces and your 9^th (6^th), ahead of the Sun on the 19^th. This is not just your house of learning, travel, opportunity and expansion but your house of self-belief too. Mercury enters its retroshadow in here on the 12^th. The day it conjuncts the North Node. During its main retroactive period (from the 26^th), it will meet the North Node twice more. Giving you the sense that this is all part of a longer journey which you are now commencing.

Watch for the return of an old dream of yours with the Sun’s arrival in here and the Mercury slow-down. You will pause and integrate those long term plans more fully. Needless to say, with Mercury backwards in your house of long distance travel and big plans, do put these on hold for now. The retro rules apply – and then some. You are being asked to take your plans seriously. But without rigidly adhering to one way of getting there. To know when the time is right for you to move, the path simply unfolds at your feet.
