No stupid Cupid retro madness for you, Virgo. With all the wise moves, you can be a retro badass instead when it comes to matters of the heart. Bad-assery begins this February by owning the common denominator in all your relationships. YOU. Yes, honestly. It’s not them. It is you.

Re-words will apply. Re-examination, revision, renegotiation and even recommitment. The biggest badass ‘re’ of all being revelation. Around the how and why that fuels your choices, your past patterns and the take-outs. As well as your deep underlying beliefs around love and being loved in return. Anything and everything from a ‘type’ if you have one, to the belief you are nothing if you aren’t in a relationship, to looking for love in all the wrong places right up to sticking with something toxic or controlling. It’s a grand free for all in your sectors of both love and its opposite – disempowerment, ambivalence and fear.

This asks for fearless badass courage and for you to suspend self-judgement, Virgo. If all is very well with your world – then you have nothing to fear from either the Mercury retrograde, or from Saturn’s move into your transformational 8^th house. Nor its once-in-a-lifetime game changing encounter with Neptune (20^th) for that matter.

Getting real is the name of the game this month. As well as you stepping up and owning your choices – past and present. While shifting to a place where you are open to making new and different ones for your future. February sweeps aside what is false or an illusion and exposes any reality-biting truths you need to embrace. Beginning with the Leo full Moon in your 12^th (1^st).

As many of you know, many astrologers believe Ceres should be your ruler rather than you co-sharing it with Gemini. There’s no ‘official’ astro ruling on this one yet. And even when signs get a new ruler, we always say the old rules apply. So, it’s entirely up to you whether when looking at what’s happening in the sky for you, whether you want to factor Ceres in or not. But seeing as Ceres embodies your Virgo qualities and trines the Leo full Moon from your 8^th, in this instance we need to sit up and pay close attention.

This is about reciprocity and what you give and receive in equal measure. Love and being loved in return. As well as shortfalls and imbalances. It’s the starting point for invoking much needed ‘re’ words if you need to. Revelation. Rebalancing. Renegotiating. Rebooting – especially those values, Virgo as Mercury and the other planets in your 6^th square Uranus in Taurus and your 9^th before moving on into Pisces.

Mercury retro dates this month see it arrive in your 7^th on the 6^th, enter retroshadow the day it meets the North Node in here on the 12^th, and reverse on the 26^th. During its entire retroactive phase, it will meet the North Node not just once but two more times. Closing one long term chapter around relating or how you relate for good.

There is another epic shift occurring in your 8^th of empowered change, transformation, self-determination, assets and direction this month. The one shift that rules them all in fact. On Feb 14, Saturn crosses from Pisces and move into Aries and your 8^th. Joining Neptune. The two merge on Feb 20 – the first time this has occurred in our lifetimes. At a power point in the zodiac where all things emerge and come into being. The key Aries zero degree.

You take ownership of your patterns and release unhealthy beliefs and dependencies. Your expectations within relationships also changes. Do you fall for people who are unavailable on some level or who don’t return your feelings because you would rather have the fantasy rather than let it get real and possibly messy for instance? Or is this out of self-protection? After all, if the person isn’t actually available, your heart isn’t at risk. You’ll commit whole-heartedly when what you give and receive is mutual. This includes not just love but loyalty, openness and trust.

Saturn brings emotional maturity to bear. You apply what you have learned. That doesn’t mean pragmatism steals all the romance, Virgo. Just that you are no longer willing to allow avoidance or illusion to cloud your vision. You’ll also redefine the boundary where strength and vulnerability meet. Asking for help is an act of both. Receiving it is the love you get in return.

We are back in eclipse season. Next month sees a lunar eclipse in your sign. February’s new Moon in Aquarius (17^th), not only brings in the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse, but also an Annular Solar Eclipse. Ready Retro Rules and general retro bad-assery, Virgo. Admit upfront there’s something you don’t yet know or need to re-examine before taking it further. It could even be having a bigger impact on your health or wellbeing than you think. The eclipse also squares Uranus in your 9^th. Something you may have been engaged in or doing, could be having a detrimental impact on you. Possibly without you realising. Under the eclipse you are advised to not only pause your job seeking efforts but refrain from gossip or speculation at work.

You’ll enter your yearly partnership peak coming from a reimagined place of strength and truth when the Sun arrives in Pisces on the 18^th. For the first time in 14 years it does so free of Neptune’s influence. You are fully present and showing up. And you’re only interested in engaging with those willing to do the same.

As Mercury stations retrograde and meets Venus at the end of the month, the pace slows to allow you to realign to what you have learned about yourself. It now all comes back to you, Virgo. Step free of those old patterns and ideas. Embrace real love, and being loved in return. Saturn is all about the lesson, Neptune about the higher love. It doesn’t need to be perfect. It also doesn’t need you to ‘fix’ it – or anyone else. In fact, you now know the difference between strain and strength. And what you get in return.
